Started out a little windy and cold, but over-all was OK weather! Warmer temperatures but still a bit of a breeze. A very nice turnout. I heard that there was around 320+ cars today, pretty nice! My hat goes off to the folks that put this on year in and year out, Betty-Lou, Clark, and others, great job for a fabulous car show, as always!

2008 Wheelin' Walla Walla Weekend Car Show.
Great car show, great weather. What more can you ask for? How about 401 cars! This was a great show and many thanks go out to all involved in putting this on. Only negative was the length of the awards ceremony. Far too long. They need to start this around 3 and pull the award winners off to the side for the photos. Yes, this is a nice touch, but I didn't get home until almost 7PM and the ceremony started at 4:30! ... Show me the pictures.

A very pleasant day weather wise, mid 80's, light breeze. Quite a few cars turned out, even with the high gas prices. The folks that put this show on do a good job. This show is also "judged" by knowledgeable guys that walk around in the hot sun and meticulously review each and every car from top to bottom. They do a good job and I like "judges" more than "participant" voting. However, I would really like to understand how they judge a class that spans almost 30 years (1981 and newer for example) and how they compensate for the age of the vehicles. It always seems like the new cars (very late model) always walk away with the awards. It is too bad when a car driven off the show room floor, into a car show will take away an award because the paint on a 1981 vehicle isn't as "shiny" or the car itself show wear because of the age of the vehicle. Just curious how they do it. I suggest that they break the classes down further. Did they not make any cool cars after 1981? Always seems like the folks putting on the car shows think that after 1977 or so, that you can lump all of the cars from then on into one group. Come on, how can you do that? ...
